Broadcast Media Executives forum in Adamawa state, has reiterated its commitment towards creating synergy with the National Broadcasting commission so as to provide a workable environment for all broadcast outfits in the state.
The forum made its resolve known while speaking to newsmen shortly after a meeting which was held at Gotel Communication in Yola, on Tuesday.
The Broadcast media executives forum is a platform where broadcast media chiefs in Adamawa state meet to discuss challenges facing the media and how they can proffer solutions which will assist in the effective dissemination of information to the public.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Secretary of the forum who is the General manager of Pulaku FM-Yola, Alh. Umar Sambo Abubakar, identified NBC as a regulatory body which is instrumental in reshaping the structure of the broadcast industry in the country hence the need for them to collaborate with the commission to achieve this set goal.
While calling on other media stakeholders to collaborate with the media, he maintained that the forum will continue to ensure full commitment towards moving the state forward through its activities.
Commenting on the welfare of media staff in the state, Abubakar said the need for an improved welfare package for media workers cannot be overemphasised, adding that the forum will work towards augmenting their welfare.
Also, the forum used the opportunity to congratulate one of its members, the General Manager of Adamawa Television, Mallam Ibrahim Buba on his appointment as permanent secretary in the Adamawa state civil service.
Describing his appointment as well deserved, the forum charged him to bring his wealth
of experience to bear thereby justifying the confidence reposed in him by the governor.
They pledged their support and solidarity as he takes on the responsibility while appreciating the governor for considering Mallam Ibrahim Buba worthy of the appointment.

He also Used the Medium to Call on PDP Supporters to rally round their Party’s Victory Come 2023 General Elections.
2023 Elections: President Buhari Signs 2022 Amended Electoral Act Into Law.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on Saturday afternoon May 21, 2022 signed into law the recently amended 2022 electoral act
The electoral act has been a bone of contention for a while as the House of Representatives, Senate and other politicians were excluded from voting in their parties’ primaries by the 2022 electoral act.
Following the omission, both the senate and house of representatives last week convened emergency sessions where they amended the act to provide for statutory delegates to vote and be voted for in the forthcoming political parties primaries and conventions.
However, with few days left for the primaries to take place, politicians have been pressuring the president to sign it in order to avert crisis.
The bill was eventually signed today, May 21.
This was confirmed by a member of the House of Representatives Emeka Chinedu representing Ahiazu/ Ezinihittee Mbaise federal constituency in the House of Representatives
Speaking to BusinessDay, Chinedu said “I can confirm to you that Mr President signed the bill into law this afternoon and we are all happy about it as it will give us and other statutory delegates the power to vote at the primaries.
“The amendment was swiftly done by the national assembly members to legally provide a place in the Act for statutory delegates of political parties to vote during their congresses and conventions.
“It will indeed do a lot of good for the upcoming party primaries” he said.
(Majah) debunked rumours For Stepping down, Ahead of the forthcoming PDP Primaries.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Aspirant Vying for the Position of Federal House of Representative for Yola South, Yola North and Girei Local government areas of Adamawa state, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Baba known as (Majah) has debunked the rumours being peddled that he has stepped down from the Contest for one of the Aspirant from his home town, Yola North (Jimeta) Ahead of the forthcoming PDP Primaries.

The Statement Said, It became quite imperative to his Constituency Categorically that, the rumour is the pigments of imagination of Political detractors and Mischief makers who are desperate to Create Confusion ahead of Party Primaries Scheduled for this Month.
Majah Campaign Office however, Noted with grave Concern that some faceless Politicians who have lost hope in the forth Coming Party Primaries, Could Peddled Unfounded and Unsubstantiated rumour that, he had withdrew from the race, So as to Cause disaffection within the PDP in Yola South, Yola North & Girei Constituency and the State at large.
Statement Therefore, Said it is instructive to announce that, Federal lawmaker Aspirants hopeful, Under the Platform of PDP Alh. Umar Mohammad Baba Kwnon as (Majah) is still on the race and he Will Sustain his Campaign activities and Urged Exco’s, Delegate and Stakeholders to Work in the interest of the Party, ahead of the Party’s Primaries and 2023 general Election.
Consequently, all Party Delegates and other Stakeholders have been advised to disregard the Purported rumour and fully support the Aspiration hopefull of Alh. Umar Baba (Maja) for the Party to succeed in the general Election.
Evidently, The Majah Aspiration Candidature is the only Midas touch for the Party to ensure it’s victory during the general Election.
Majah also used the medium to call on PDP faithful supporters to rally round their party’s victory come 2023 general Elections.
