Members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Adarawo ward, Yola south local government have endorsed the aspiration of comrade Abdurrahman Bapullo for member Yola south constituency.
At an endorsement ceremony that took place at the party’s office lumel-wuro Hausa Adarawo, the party faithfuls solicit total support from other wards for his election bid in 2023 general election.
Addressing newsmen at the party’s office, the PDP chairman Adarawo ward, Mallam Baba mijinyawa said the reason behind the endorsement of comrade Abdurrahman Bapullo is based on his track record in serving humanity and urged the party’s faithfuls in Yola south to rally round their son for the victory of the party in the general election.
Mallam Baba also called on excos and delegates to support Bapullo’s aspiration for better representation so as to enjoy dividends of democracy.
In their separate remarks, the youths leader of PDP in Adarawo ward Nuhu Bibi and the women leader, Maimunatu Murtala called on women and Youths to give necessary support to Bapullo to represent youths in the state House of assembly.
On his part, Abubakar Usman who spoke on behalf of the Adarawo community in Yola south, explained that the Bapullo’s endorsement was based on merit for the good people of Yola south constituency.
In his acceptance speech, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP aspirant for Yola south Adamawa state House of assembly comrade Abdurrahman Bapullo, thanked the Adarawo community and its environs for their solidarity and confidence reposed in him to represent the good people of Yola south.
Comrade Bapullo also called on the party faithfuls to support his aspiration so as to actualise his dream in overturning the fortunes of Yola south constituency for better representation.
Abdurrahman Bapullo pointed out that he entered politics to represent youths which according to him, youths are the backbone of every developed society.
The human right activist, used the opportunity to congratulate Muslim ummah for the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan fast and urged them to imbibe the virtues of kindness, tolerance, love, peace and harmony, sacrifice as exemplified by the holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
Comrade Bapullo wishes all Muslim ummah a happy Eidel Fitir salla celebration and prays that the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be with them.
Gov. Zulum dissolves Borno State Executive Council.
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the dissolution of the Borno state executive council.
The dissolution, which is with immediate effect, was contained in a statement signed by the permanent secretary, administration and general services, Danjuma Ali on behalf of Secretary to the State Government and made available to journalists by the Governor’s spokespersons from the press unit of the Government House in Maiduguri.
The members were directed to handover affairs to permanent secretaries in their ministries.
The statement explained that the dissolution is to create enabling environment for interested members of the EXCO to legally participate in forthcoming primaries and congresses of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Zulum, according to the statement, expressed deepest appreciation to members of the executive council for unquantifiable contributions while they held offices and wishes them the best of luck in future endeavors.
Breakinf; PDP Pastpones National Delegate Election.
The National Working Committee, (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has approved postponement of the party’s local government congress to elect one LGA national delegate earlier scheduled for Thursday, May 5.
The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Wednesday, said that a new date for the local government congress would be announced.
Mr Ologunagba said the NWC regretted any inconveniences the postponement might have caused.
He advised all leaders, critical stakeholders and members of the party across the country to take note.
Similarly, the party also declared the Wednesday 3-man ad hoc delegate congress in Ebonyi as null and void, saying the congress would hold on Thursday, May 5.
Mr Ologunagba said that the attention of the NWC had been drawn to reports of a purported conduct of 3-man ad hoc delegate congress in Ebonyi on Wednesday.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the said 3-man ad hoc delegate congress in Ebonyi on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 is by law, null and void and as such unrecognised.
“This is because such congress is by law, subject to be monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which in this case, is not available to monitor the exercise.
“Based on the unavailability of INEC to monitor the exercise, the NWC rescheduled the conduct of the 3-man ad hoc delegates congress in Ebonyi for Thursday, May 5.
Mr Ologunagba advised all members of the party in Ebonyi to discountenance any exercise conducted on Wednesday as the PDP 3-man ad hoc delegates’ congress in the State.
Gov. Fintiri Observe Eid-El-Fitr Prayer in Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, On Monday joined thousands of other Muslims to observe the twenty twenty two Eid-El-Fitr Celebration, Which mark’s the end of one Month Ramadan fast.
The Governor observe the two raka’at prayers at the Yola Eid ground alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who Doubles as Waziri Adamawa, Speaker State Assembly Rtd. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, SSG Bashir Ahmad, and the
Galadima of Adamawa Alhaji Mustafa Aminu, among others.
Speaking in an interview shortly after observing the Eid prayers, Governor Umaru Fintiri, Congratulated Muslims in Adamawa for a successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.
The Governor advice Muslim Ummah to use the lessons learned during the spiritual exercise to champion the course of peaceful coexistence and love for development of Adamawa and Nigeria.
On the 2023 General elections, Governor Fintiri called on the people to extend the lessons learnt during Ramadan by respecting one another before during and after the elections.
The Chief Imam of Modibbo Adama Central Mosque Yola, Khadi Amadu Bobboi led the two raka’at prayers offered special prayers after presenting the Eid Sermon.
